Upcoming SUVs in India in 2023

SUVs are popular in India because of their excellent driving positions and efficiency. In 2022, it was decided to introduce a large number of SUVs. During the year, hybrids and large SUVs were the most popular vehicles among Indian buyers. Many automakers intend to expand their SUV lineups in 2023 in order to establish a significant position in the SUV market. The following is a list of upcoming SUVs that will be launched in India.

9 Upcoming SUVs in India with their specifications and Expected Launch time

Nissan X-Trail

The Nissan X-Trail is well-known for its numerous features as well as its dismissive appearance. Although nothing has been confirmed, this car may be on display at the 2023 International Motor Show. The X-grille Trail is surrounded by split headlamps. It has a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, ADAS technology, and a 360-degree camera on the inside. The 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine with mild hybrid technology or the 1.5-liter e-Power engine with range-extender hybrid technology will be available as engine options for the Nissan X-Trail.

Maruti Jimny

The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door SUV will be the best option for middle-class Indians. The Mahindra Thar will face stiff competition from the Maruti Suzuki SUV Jimny. Jimny is expected to launch in June 2023. According to the manufacturer, the supplied motor can be used with both a six-speed automatic torque converter and a five-gear manual device. It’s believed to be powered by a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder K12C petrol engine.

Citroen C3 7-seater

Citroen appears to be developing a seven-seater C3 crossover vehicle. It will presumably have larger (16-inch) wheels and more durable body cladding than the standard C3. It could be called the C3 Aircross, C3 Plus, or C3 Sport Tourer. The powertrain is expected to be the same as that found in the standard C3: a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with a 6-speed transmission. However, it may need to be modified for the larger, three-row type. It will have the same interior design and features as the C3.

Honda HR-V

This five-seat SUV is expected to arrive in India by the middle of 2023. The Kia Selto, Maruti Brezza, and Hyundai Creta will be competitors. The vehicle will be powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine. The car’s interior features a decently sized touchscreen display with Apple Carplay and Android Auto integration. Climate control and connected automobile technologies will be available.

Tata Harrier / Safari facelift

The Safari will also be modified in the same way that the Harrier was. It may also get a larger touchscreen with wireless connectivity, ADAS technology, and a 360-degree camera, similar to the Harrier facelift. The SUV will also get a new grille, new headlamps and taillights, and new alloy wheel designs. To keep the styling of both SUVs consistent, the revised Safari’s design should be similar to that of the Harrier. The 2023 Tata Safari will be powered by the same 170 horsepower, 2.0L diesel engine.

Seltos Facelift

The Kia Seltos facelift, which made its international debut in June, is expected to go on sale in India in the middle of 2023. To compete with rivals, the mid-size SUV has undergone changes. The interior of the Seltos will have new upholstery, a visual redesign of the dashboard, and a few new features, including an ADAS system tuned for India. Kia will also supply a new infotainment system as well as an updated air conditioning control panel.

New-Gen Toyota Fortuner

The Toyota Fortuner is a particularly popular vehicle in India. The updated Fortuner will be available by the middle of 2023, according to the company. It will feature entirely new design elements as well as updated powertrain options. The SUV will be favored by the 1GD-FTV 2.8L diesel engine with mild hybrid technology and ISG. The new diesel motor will be more powerful and fuel-efficient than the current one.

Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus

Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus will be available for purchase in the coming months. However, no official launch date has been announced. It will be longer than 4 meters and will have two seating options: a 7-seat configuration or an elevated 9-seat layout. The Bolero Neo Plus is powered by a dependable 2.2-liter, 120hp diesel engine, and a 5-speed pneumatic and hydraulic transmission

Tata Nexon Facelift

The country’s largest automaker, Tata Motors, is developing several new products, the most important of which is a facelift for the company’s best-selling compact SUV, the Tata Nexon. The upcoming Tata Nexon test mule has been spotted on Indian roads several times. The launch will take place in India sometime in the middle of 2023 or early in 2024. We anticipate updates to the design, features, and powertrains.
