Tata Motors is set to make a bold entry into the compact SUV segment with the upcoming Curvv SUV, and the excitement is palpable as the production-ready model takes center stage at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024. Ahead of its expected launch later this year, Tata has given enthusiasts a glimpse of the Curvv’s distinctive design, showcased in a vibrant orange shade, offering a preview of what’s to come.

Tata Curvv SUV Coupe Design and Dimension

Designed with a coupe styling that ensures a unique identity, the Tata Curvv SUV Coupe stands out with a blend of contemporary aesthetics and features borrowed from its popular counterparts – the Nexon, Harrier, and Safari. The compact SUV measures 4,308 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width, and 1,630 mm in height, presenting a well-proportioned silhouette on a wheelbase of 2,560 mm.

The exterior styling adheres to Tata’s latest design philosophy, featuring a modern and sporty-looking front end adorned with an LED light bar reminiscent of the Nexon facelift. The headlamps are positioned innovatively on the front bumper, enhancing the SUV’s visual appeal. Unique design elements include flush-fitting door handles, flared wheel arches with black cladding, and a rear end that mirrors the sophistication of the updated Nexon, complete with a continuous LED light strip and a raked rear windshield.

Tata Curvv Features and Safety

The Curvv is not just about style; it promises a host of advanced features, including a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, an auto-dimming IRVM, 18-inch wheels, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). These additions elevate the Curvv’s allure, making it a compelling choice in the competitive compact SUV landscape.

Engine and Performance

Under the hood, the Curvv packs a punch with a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine generating 113 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and 260 Nm @ 1,500-2,750 rpm. Paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, the powertrain ensures a dynamic and efficient driving experience.

Tata Motors plans to introduce two variants of the Curvv – the Curvv EV and the Curvv ICE. Production for the Curvv EV is expected to commence in April 2024, with a subsequent launch anticipated by the end of April or early May. The Curvv ICE variant could hit the market by June 2024, strategically timed to capitalize on the festive season buzz.

With its visually appealing design and segment-first coupe styling, the Tata Curvv aims to carve its niche in the competitive market, offering a distinctive option for those who appreciate a blend of style and substance. The SUV’s unique persona, sharp sheet metal bends, and premium alloy wheels set it apart, presenting a clear differentiation against rivals like Creta and Seltos. Stay tuned for more updates as Tata Motors gears up to redefine the compact SUV experience with the Curvv.
