Home » 2024 Toyota Tacoma: Turbocharged Power Unleashed

If you are wondering about the details of the Toyota Tacoma, then stay tuned as we are going to talk about the fourth-generation 2024 Toyota Tacoma. For nearly the last two decades, the Toyota Tacoma has earned a great reputation for being a dominant mid-size pick-up truck segment. The Tacoma is willing to help drivers tackle their ambitious adventure bucket lists as it is completely redesigned and reimagined for model year 2024. As it is a new generation of Tacoma, the rich history of quality, durability, and reliability is focused on by the Toyota engineers while incorporating modern tech rugged styling, and go-anywhere capability. The vice president and general manager of Toyota group, Dave Christ has said that:

“Our engineers outdid themselves with this next-generation Tacoma. This truck offers customers more of everything, including technology, style, and capability, all with an attractive starting MSRP. This is a segment Toyota has carried for years, and we feel this iteration of Tacoma only raised the bar.”

Redesigned 2024 Toyota Tacoma

The Toyota Tacoma is completely redesigned from the ground up for 2024. The TNGA-F global truck platform shared with the Tundra, Sequoia, and Land Cruiser is the basis of the all-new Tacoma’s design and engineering, which was tailored for the U.S. market. It is built with a high-strength steel ladder frame and has many features that will appeal to off-road enthusiasts. Built to showcase Toyota’s latest technologies, powertrains, and chassis design, this all-new 2024 Tacoma is ready to take all challengers. Now let’s take a detailed look at its design and features.

Launching date and price:

It is expected that the Toyota dealerships will receive their all-new 2024 I-FORCE Tacoma in December 2023, while the I-FORCE MAX models will be arriving in the spring of 2024. With a starting price of 32,995 dollars, the 2024 Toyota Tacoma is expected to reach 65,000 dollars for its most expensive TRD Pro.

Exterior design:

The new Toyota Tacoma is completely updated and revamped. To the front, there is a hexagonal front grille which is actually a tribute to the Toyota Hilux. Tacoma was previously known as the Hilux. Now let’s talk about the headlights, you get DRLs on the bottom of this, it has a little orange bulb, a projector and then Tacoma on the side of it but what you will notice is how high and how wide it is, so it makes a truck look bolder including the air guides on the side. This is a cool little feature. When the road is foggy, there will be six individual LEDs that will illuminate it. You got the Tacoma badge on the side.

Now talking about the back, there are some changes like the taillights that are similar to the tundra except they have two bars as opposed to three and you also have cute little animation there. They also have Tacoma stamped into the rear tailgate, a rear camera and a Toyota handle. There is an LED here and not a Halloween.

Interior features:

You have a 12.3-inch driver’s display. You have a TRD engine stop and start, which is appreciable. Instead of just putting stop and start in black like everybody else does, there is red, and it says TRD right on. These little touches make the difference. The screen though is a little bit small for this size and you have a USB-C feature here as well, which is lovable. You got the rubber grips on the door handle, and you got this TRD in blue on the side as well.

Features:

Inside, Tacoma complements its capabilities with comfort and premium tech. This starts with a new interior, featuring improved front seats with six- or eight-way adjustment, and heating and ventilation functionality on select trims. Furthermore, the low horizontal access of the cabin makes it exceptionally roomy, all while maintaining good outward visibility. The new Tacoma is equipped with some new features like the standard seven-inch Multi-information Display, or the available 12.3-inch Multi-information Display. The latest Audio Multimedia platform of Toyota can also be found here, served up through either an eight-inch or available 14-inch touchscreen, it also includes an integrated USB-C port for charging capability. It also has Toyota’s first 3D panoramic View Monitor as well as a Multi-Terrain Monitor, Blind spot Monitor, wireless Trailer Camera, an available JBL Flex portable speaker, and available Qi-compatible wireless charging.

Power:

With Toyota’s legendary off-road heritage, performance runs deep in Tacoma’s DNA. That means that, like always, it is an obvious choice when going off the beaten path. But when we talk about the new reborn Tacoma 2024, it has taken a big leap forward with its incredible new powertrains. The story is enhanced further with the introduction of Tacoma’s first-ever electrified powertrain, a powerful hybrid that features impressive performance and high fuel efficiency.

Engine:

The Toyota Tacoma is equipped with the 2.4 L 4-cylinder turbocharged I-force motor which puts out up to 278 horsepower and 317 LB-FT of torque. The 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD off-road with a 2.4L Turbo engine is a beast on and off the road. It also offers manual transmission as well. In addition to the eight-speed automatic transmission, drivers can even pair this engine with a six-speed manual. This offers returns on selected grades for those who prefer to manage their power. Based on the turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder, and coupled with an electric motor, this new I-force MAX hybrid system produces 326 horsepower and an incredible 465 pound-feet of torque, nearly double that of the outgoing engine.
