Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 Discontinued – An Evergreen Hatchback’s Era Ends

Maruti’s one of the best and evergreen products Alto 800 has reportedly been discontinued. its entry-level budget hatchback Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 was first launched in 2000. More than 4.5 Million Alto 800 cars have been sold all over India till today. Now Reports say that the Aurtomaker halted the production of Alto 800. As per reports, the investments to upgrade the hatchback to its next-gen or to comply with a new set of rules and regulations of the central government are not feasible financially. Increase in road tax, Material Cost, and other types of taxation are the major reasons.

The rising demand for the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is also another reason to discontinue the evergreen Alto 800. After this, Alto 800 is now the entry-level model of Maruti Suzuki in India which is priced from Rs.3.99 Lakh to Rs.5.94 Lakh Ex-showroom
