2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift Spied Again – Production and Launch

Following its successful launch in the home market of Japan, production of the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift is gearing up in India, with an official launch expected in the coming months. Enthusiasts can also anticipate a significant update for its sedan counterpart, the Dzire, slated for release by the end of the second or third quarter of this year.

The spy shots reveal a redesigned grille with a honeycomb mesh pattern, updated headlamps featuring integrated LED Daytime Running Lights, and revised front and rear bumpers. The silhouette and overall dimensions maintain continuity with the existing model, providing a familiar yet refreshed look. Newly designed alloy wheels updated fog lamp housings, and refreshed tail lamps contribute to the Swift’s modernized appearance.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift Features

Inside, the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift is set to elevate the driving experience with features such as a floating touchscreen infotainment system offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, automatic climate control, multiple airbags, a semi-digital instrument console, and a multifunctional steering wheel with mounted controls. While some high-end features from the global model may not make it to India, the Swift promises to deliver a well-rounded and enhanced driving environment.

One of the highlights is the introduction of an all-new 1.2L Z series three-cylinder mild-hybrid petrol engine, replacing the existing 1.2L K series four-cylinder mill. This upgrade aims to enhance fuel economy and reduce emissions, aligning with the industry’s shift towards greener and more sustainable options.

The expected launch date in September 2024 adds to the anticipation, positioning the Maruti Suzuki Swift as a hatchback to watch out for in the price range of Rs. 6.50 – 10.00 Lakh. With road testing already underway in India, the new Swift, internally codenamed Maruti YED, promises to hit the roads ahead of the all-new Dzire, setting the stage for a new era in compact car excellence. Stay tuned for more updates as the launch date approaches.
