The Toyota Fortuner is one of the most popular SUVs in India. In fact, it is the only full-size SUV with a large fan base. Launched in 2009, it is now in its third generation. Even after the introduction of the MG Gloster, the Fortuner remains the only SUV available for purchase without regard for price. We are all eagerly awaiting the launch of the next generation, the 4th generation Toyota Fortuner in India, to see what changes Toyota has in store for the Indian market. However, an image of a Toyota Fortuner has recently surfaced and surprised on social media. Let’s get into the details based on that render image.
Upcoming 4th Generation Toyota Fortuner Image Render
TorqueIndia shared the render image on Twitter. The picture clearly depicts the front, side, and rear profiles. However, this is not official; Toyota’s SUV could look completely different. Next-generation Toyota Fortuner: Exterior Design Details from the Front The Fortuner Render looks completely different from the current model, and it somewhat resembles Toyota’s global SUV, the Tacoma. Completely different front fascia that gives a rugged and bold look, but it is not as sleek and attractive as the current model.

Toyota has launched the latest Fortuner in Thailand, and it is expected to be available in India by the end of 2024 or early in 2025. The features, powertrain, and design may remain the same for the Indian specification. However, we expect a more premium interior, advanced features such as ADAS, and premium features such as a panoramic sunroof. The Thailand version lacks a sunroof, and the interior appears to be similar to the previous model. More than a next generation, we can describe it as an updated version of Fortuner.
What will be the price when it comes to India? The price of the current generation Fortuner in India ranges from Rs. 33 lakh to more than 50 lakh. Which is significant given its features and premium offerings. Will the price for the upcoming model change? We don’t think so, but Toyota may consider it because Toyota has already partnered with Maruti Suzuki, and more of Maruti’s production plants are used by Toyota, so there is a slim chance of price reduction.
