INNOVA CRYSTA vs INNOVA HYCROSS: In India, while replacing Qualis, the Innova was introduced in February of 2005. It was available in twelve variants out of which three variants of it came with a petrol-engine option which was powered by a 2.0-liter engine with electronic fuel injection. The diesel variants of the Innova are powered by a 2.5-liter engine. After this, Innova launched many models. In today’s article, we will talk about two models of Innova, Innova Crysta, and Innova HyCross. We will discuss the differences between these cars (INNOVA CRYSTA vs INNOVA HYCROSS.)

->1. Launching Date:


The Innova Crysta was launched in May 2016 with its two diesel engine options. A few days ago, there was a piece of news circulating that Innova Crysta will no longer be sold in India but this was a piece of fake news. Now a piece of exclusive news has come out that despite the introduction of a more premium Innova HyCross the old Crystals will continue to sell with its diesel engine. On the other side, Innova HyCross is not still launched. It is expected to launch in January 2023 in India.

The launching price of Innova Crysta started from 16.1 lakh to 24.6 lakh while the launching price of Innova HyCross starts from 20 lakh.

->3. Looks:


The design elements of Innova HyCross are inspired by SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle). It has an Innova badge on the front of it. It has a beautiful and new honeycomb mesh grille in front of it which helps it to look sporter and in the mid of this grille there is a chrome strip.
The vehicle now has a sleeker LED headlamp with LED DRLs. Its daytime running lights do not work only as daytime running lights but also as indicators. It also gets sleeker wraparound LED tail lights at the back. Innova HyCross also includes fog lamps on its front which are not too noticeable.
On the other hand, it is believed that HyCross is believed to be following the trend of three-row cars increasingly putting on the cloak of an SUV like the Hyundai Alcazar and other.

The previous generations of Innova were known for their functionality over features. This time, however, the MPU is filled to the brim with technology. New Innova HyCross includes a 10.1-inch of floating infotainment display, multi-zone climate control system, JBL-sourced music system, multi-functional steering wheel, wireless charging, digital instrument cluster, and many more while the Innova Crysta has its shares of features including ambient lighting, rear AC vents and speakers all around.

The Innova Crysta has a length of 4735mm, a width of 1830mm, and a height of 1795mm while Innova HyCross will be slightly longer than the Innova Crysta. It will have a length of 4755mm, a width of 1845mm, and a height of 1795mm.

Innova Crysta has a wheelbase of 2750mm and on the other side, Innova HyCross has a wheelbase of 2850mm.

->7. Fuel Capacity:


The Innova Crysta has a fuel capacity of 55-65 liters while Innova HyCross has a fuel capacity of 52 liters.

The Innova Crysta has a mileage of 8.0kmpl. On the other hand, Innova HyCross has a mileage ranges from 11.4 to 12.99 kmpl depending on the variant and fuel type.

The Innova Crysta has 1 petrol engine on offer. It is available with a manual and automatic transmission while The new Innova HyCross will use the Corolla’s 2-liter petrol and strong-hybrid power units. The hybrid engine is rated at 194PS on the Corolla and comes paired with an e-CUT. The 2-liter non-hybrid petrol is tuned to deliver 179PS and 202Nm. Toyota has 1 diesel engine and 1 petrol engine on offer. The diesel engine is 2449cc while the petrol engine is 1998cc. It is available with manual transmission.

The Innova Crysta came with 7 airbags and it has been awarded a 4-star safety rating. On the other hand, the Japanese automaker has taken safety even more seriously with Innova HyCross. These safety measures include a 360-degree surround camera, six airbags, blind spot monitoring, and an electronic parking brake with auto hold.
