India has a very fertile ground for SUVs. It is estimated that three-fifths of the vehicles sold in the country are SUVs. And Hyundai motors is the second-largest carmaker in the country. But the South Korean automaker Hyundai has been late in entering India’s SUV market. as well, the huge success of the Creta SUV introduced in 2015 has opened the eyes of Hyundai. Furthur Hyundai filled the space with the new Tucson, compact SUV Venue, and electric SUV Kona. The Hyundai range lacked a 7-seater in the market. Now, the Hyundai Alcazar arrived in the 6,7 seater versions in three columns.

Hyundai Alcazar is the flagship of the new generation Creta SUV that arrived early last year. Therefore, many of Alcazar’s body panels, fenders, and front doors are similar to the Creta. What sets the Alcazar apart from the Creta -is the studded, more premium-looking front radiator grill. Alcazar has new taillights and a completely redesigned tailgate. Alcazar’s exterior body shape or design looks attractive, bold, But it’s an extended version of new-gen Creta, as a result somewhere it looks similar to Hyundai Creta.

Dimensions

Alcazar is 4500 mm long, 1790 mm wide, and 1675 mm high. Alcazar is 200 mm longer and 40 mm taller than Creta. There is no change in width. The wheelbase of the Alcazar is 2,760mm, which is 150mm more than the Creta.

Hyundai Alcazar is a dual-tone upholstery in tan and black colors. Notable features on the Hyundai Alcazar include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, and automatic climate control.

In addition to the above-said features, Alcazar comes with Bose with 8 speakers premium sound system, traction control modes (Snow, Sand, Sport), 64 colors ambient lighting, and Hyundai Blue Link connected car system are all part of Alcazar’s top variants.

Hyundai Alcazar Engine & Gearbox

Alcazar’s engine option is a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine that powers similarly to Elantra and Tucson models. The engine produces 159 hp and 192 Nm of torque. The second engine is a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder turbo diesel. The engine produces 115 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Both the engines are available with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options. The Hyundai Alcazar comes with Comfort, Eco, and Sport riding modes and Sand, Snow, and Mud traction control modes.

Fuel efficiency

Hyundai claims a mileage of 14.5 kmpl for the petrol manual variants and 14.2 kmpl for the automatic version. Hyundai claims a fuel efficiency of 20.4 km / h for the diesel manual gearbox version and 18.1 km / h for the automatic version. In fact, these mileage figures may vary.
